“I live right next to a factory that stinks, “Lallemand”.
Lallemand is a global leader in the development, production and marketing of yeast, bacteria and specialty ingredients.
I’m not the only one that thinks that she stinks.
People have been trying to shut her down for some time now.
There have been many petitions against her and yet her chimneys still shoot out copious amounts of smoke.
That foul smell isn’t something that can be ignored.
It sucks out the joys of my uneventful life.
Don’t get me wrong, yeast is essential … for making beer and all…
But this can’t go on anymore.
Revolt can’t be contained to mere petition and complaints.
Revolt needs actions.
Actions in the real world.
Taking the bull by the horns that’s what it’s all about.
So me and “Lallemand” have decided to settle this once and for all.
Five rounds fistfight.
No split decision, get knocked or be knocked.
I will go full force.
In the end, no one could be crowned as the victor.
We both lost.
Should have known…
Don Quixote never wins against the windmills … or so I think … never finished the book.
She’s was a tough opponent.
Now that we exchanged blows I think both of us better understand the purpose of one another.
She produces it and I drink it.
As for the smell, well I’ll just have to deal with it.
It’s not like I never smell bad from time to time so blaming her wouldn’t be all that fair.
I don’t think that this experience enriched me that much.
In retrospect, that fight gave me nothing but sore hands… But hey, at least my knuckles matched finger polish.”
